Stefan:

Great post. Thanks for your contribution. It is always a pleasure to read your posts.

Yes, it is important to make the most of your time, even if it is only for five minutes. Such five minute breaks are available throughout the day. Thus, those five minutes can add up into hours every day.

Audio books are available on a variety of topics. Arts, humanities, social sciences, physical sciences...you name it. And the ones who lecture are some of the finest minds in the world: experts and scholars from the ivy leagues in the US and Oxbridge in the UK. There are other experts too who are not affiliated with educational institutions but are just as credible. It is a pleasure to learn from such distingished luminaries.

Listening to audio books not only can increase your knowledge, but if you apply that learning, it can lead to new skills valued by society. Over time, if you make it a daily habit, sky is the limit. It is also a good way to break away from negative influences and useless distractions when you are standing in line, taking public transport or working on a trivial or mundane task. Just plug in and go for a long, casual stroll in the park and you can kill two birds with one stone, as the saying goes. And don't forget to keep on plugging away.
